The problem
The aim of the assignment is to search for better organisational models aimed at identifying the General Criteria and Guidelines for the implementation of the National Road Safety Plan up until 2030.
The main issues dealt with for the definition of the general implementation criteria and guidelines were:
- the analysis of the reference context of the Plan;
- the analysis of the state of road safety in Italy;
- the definition of objectives and strategic planning;
- the definition of the aspects for the implementation and monitoring of the Plan.
Our approach
The approach consisted of:
- a road accident analysis of the 2010-2016 period with the comparison with the PNSS Orizzonte 2020 reduction objectives;
- an examination of the main actions performed and the ongoing ones;
- an update of the PNSS Orizzonte 2020 strategic lines based on the analyses carried out and on the more recent European guidelines on the matter.
