On 8–9 October 2026, the SmartUrbanity consortium gathered at Ege University in İzmir (Türkiye) for its 3rd General Assembly. The meeting brought together project partners to review ongoing activities, exchange updates, and coordinate the next steps towards more accessible and inclusive urban environments.
Discussions covered progress across all work packages, spanning research, digital solutions, pilot activities, policy development, and dissemination. Particular attention was devoted to the development of the 15-minute city (15mC) accessibility tool, alongside the review of project deliverables, responsibilities, and upcoming implementation activities.
CTLup contributed to discussions within “WP4 – Pilot Planning, Implementation and Evaluation”, focusing on local challenges, pilot configuration, data and models, and planned implementation actions. The team also participated in “Focus Group 3 – From Pilot Requirements to DSS Functionalities & Model Integration”, together with all project partners, contributing to discussions on translating pilot requirements into decision-support system (DSS) functionalities and integrating the relevant models.
An important highlight was the implementation of PLAY-GAME activities with local stakeholders in İzmir, focusing on micromobility and accessibility. These activities provided an opportunity to introduce SmartUrbanity to local stakeholders and gather their views, experiences, and suggestions. The insights collected will contribute to the development of the project’s pilot activities and will be documented in upcoming deliverables.
The General Assembly marked another step forward for SmartUrbanity, reinforcing collaboration across the consortium and strengthening the connection between research, digital innovation, pilot implementation, and stakeholder engagement in the pursuit of more accessible and sustainable cities.
