CTLup, with its road safety experts, Sergio Celestino and Brayan González-Hernández, took part to the final onsite lessons of “Road Safety Short Course Uganda”, held in Kampala from 8th to 13th May 2023.
The course, realised in collaboration with the Ugandan Ministry of Works & Transport, consisted of a one-month program with 60 working hours, from April to May 2023, delivered in a hybrid way and in English language, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of Uganda in safety management, data collection, analysis and research for evidence-based interventions on the Ugandan road network, contrasting the dramatic incidence of fatalities per year caused by road accidents (29 per 100.000 population).
Each session of the course was led by an expert in the field of road safety and availed itself of the Road Safety International Team members: Prof. Luca Persia, CTLup’s President; Mr. Robert Lisinge, UNECA’s Chief of the Energy, Infrastructure and Services Section; Prof. Davide Shingo Usami, CTLup’s Senior Partner; Brayan González-Hernández, CTLup’s Junior Partner; Sergio Celestino, CTLup’s Senior Expert; Sevket Oguz Kagan Capkin, CTLup’s Junior Expert; Stephen Kome, Steffel Feudjio and Elvis Chia Ngwah, CTLup’s Junior Consultants.
