CTLup is thrilled to announce the launch of a new collaboration with the Ugandan Ministry of Works & Transport for road safety interventions in Uganda.
The agreement, focusing on consultancy services for the development of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework, is a vital part of a wide-ranging project, titled “Strengthening Road Safety Management for evidence-based intervention“, implemented by Ugandan Ministry of Works & Transport for collecting reliable road crash data, building capacity in research, and carrying out M&E activities.
Funded by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) through the United Nations Road Safety Trust Fund, the project foresees specific objectives for the development of the M&E framework:
- To provide guidance for gathering of timely accurate, harmonized, and complete information for monitoring and evaluating implementation of all road safety interventions.
- To guide systematic reporting mechanism and utilization of road safety data generated from M&E system in Uganda.
- To enhance the creation of a platform for building multi-sectoral partnerships, networking, and collaboration for M&E activities of road safety programs at sub-national and national levels.
