On 17–18 September 2026, CTLup research group participated in the first General Assembly of BIO-INTEL-MOB, held at the premises of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) in Thessaloniki, Greece. The meeting brought together the project partners to review the first nine months of implementation, exchange experiences, and coordinate the activities ahead.
The two-day meeting covered the main areas of the project, from research and framework development to data gathering and digital tools, pilot implementation, impact assessment, scalability, and communication. Particular attention was dedicated to the Mega Pilot Sites – Rome, Cascais, and Riga-Vilnius – as well as the Satellite, Scalability and Follower Sites, supporting the transition from conceptual development towards the practical testing of BIO-INTEL-MOB solutions.
As part of the General Assembly, the partners also discussed the development of Peri-Urban Mobility Hubs (PUMHs), data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the organisation of forthcoming citizen engagement activities through dedicated workshops focusing on peri-urban needs, priorities, data, and KPIs.
The General Assembly marked an important milestone for the project: with its foundations established, BIO-INTEL-MOB is now moving towards the implementation, validation, and scaling-up of innovative solutions for safer, smarter, and more sustainable peri-urban mobility.
For CTLup, the meeting represented an important opportunity to contribute to the coordination and development of the project activities, particularly in connection with the Rome Mega Pilot, while strengthening cooperation with the international BIO-INTEL-MOB consortium.
