On 15–16 December 2025, the AUGMENTED CCAM Final Event successfully took place in Paris, bringing the project’s journey to a close with two intense and inspiring days of presentations, live demonstrations, and high-level discussions. The event gathered experts, researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers from across Europe to showcase the project’s main achievements and reflect on the future of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) infrastructure.
Throughout the event, participants explored how Physical, Digital and Communication Infrastructure (PDI) solutions can support the deployment of CCAM services in real-world environments. The programme highlighted concrete results, technical insights, and lessons learned from the project’s pilot activities, reinforcing the importance of experimentation, interoperability, and cross-border cooperation.
A particularly engaging moment was the interactive session held in the afternoon of Day 1, titled “AUGMENTED CCAM Achievements & Lessons Learned”, moderated by Dr. Maria Gkemou (Centre for Research & Technology Hellas – CERTH). The session included the presentation of the Virtual Test Site, delivered by Sevket Oguz Kagan Capkin and Davide Shingo Usami. His contribution highlighted how virtual environments can support the testing and validation of ACCAM solutions, complementing physical pilots and enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective assessment of CCAM services.
Together, these contributions illustrated how ACCAM solutions were deployed, tested, and evaluated across urban, rural, and motorway contexts, identifying both shared challenges and context-specific lessons. The session effectively demonstrated the added value of collaboration and knowledge exchange in advancing CCAM deployment at the European level.
The AUGMENTED CCAM Final Event marked an important milestone for the project, reaffirming the role of integrated infrastructure, data-driven approaches, and strong partnerships in shaping the future of automated and connected mobility in Europe.
