FERSI held its Autumn General Assembly on 18–19 November 2025, hosted online by CDV – Transport Research Centre. The two-day meeting brought together representatives from member institutes, invited speakers, and Working Group coordinators to discuss current activities, ongoing collaborations, and strategic priorities for the coming year.
The first day opened with a welcome session and two guest presentations focusing on accident data trends in the Czech Republic and the national road safety strategy. Contributions from CDV followed, including insights on engaging users in CCAM pilot sites and an overview of therapeutic programmes in the Czech Republic. The afternoon continued with updates from the Executive Board, legal and financial matters, and a discussion on recent ETSC position papers.
The second day featured presentations of EU-funded and national projects involving FERSI partners, including TRUST, PANACEA, CAMBER, and a study on road-safety expenditure in Italy. An overview of ongoing EU projects and upcoming funding opportunities was also provided, as well as an update on FERSI’s communication activities.
Members then discussed the Exchange Programme, internal surveys, and ongoing work within the FERSI Working Groups, covering topics such as Africa collaboration, intersection safety, and bicycle safety. The meeting concluded with a presentation of the KARSIP Initiative – Road Safety for All, followed by an open session for any other business.
FERSI warmly thanks all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions and looks forward to continuing collaborative efforts to advance road-safety research across Europe.
