On 8–9 October 2025, the RESKILLING Project Consortium gathered in Brussels, Belgium, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), for the 2nd Partner Board Meeting of the project. The two-day event provided an important opportunity to present the latest project developments, align on upcoming activities, and discuss key research and implementation challenges related to the reskilling and upskilling of the transport workforce for the Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) transition.
Throughout the meeting, partners shared preliminary findings and progress across several key areas:
-
Stakeholder mapping, validating research outcomes in line with the project’s co-creation approach and the development of the Stakeholder Community Platform;
-
Mapping of jobs potentially impacted by CCAM, supported by a classification based on value chain perspectives, ISCO-08 categorisation, and skill levels, which will inform the development of a CCAM-related skills taxonomy;
-
Preliminary assessment of CCAM-related employment effects, focusing on specific workforce groups;
-
Definition of the first business models, linked to the project’s forthcoming case studies;
-
Literature review addressing the technological, educational/training, and social dimensions of CCAM;
-
Workshop on impact assessment and KPI definition, ensuring a robust framework for evaluating project outcomes;
-
Identification of inputs for the future Employment and Skills Observatory;
-
Discussions on the design and development of the ReSKILLING Inventory.
The meeting fostered a highly collaborative atmosphere and paved the way for the next phase of the project, as activities move from analysis to implementation, marking another key milestone in building a future-ready transport workforce for the CCAM transition.
